#SUAVESATURDAYS WEEK 13 - UNDERSTAND THE SHORT, REGULAR, AND LONG SUIT CUTS

Welcome back to #SuaveSaturdays!

STYLE TIP - UNDERSTAND THE SHORT, REGULAR, AND LONG SUIT CUTS

Ever wondered what that weird "S", "R", or "L" means when looking at your suit size? It actually has a very important meaning if you want to get your size right!

The "S", "R", or "L" stand for Short, Regular, and Long respectively.

The main differences you will find between these variations is that depending on what you select, it will change the length of the jacket (top to bottom), and also the length of the sleeve. Of course, if you want to get your jacket size right, you need to be selecting the correct chest size and pairing it with the correct Short, Regular, and Long cut.

There is a general rule to follow when deciding between the three:

If you are 5’8” or shorter, pick a jacket that says “Short.”

If your height is between 5’9” and 6’1”, select “Regular".

If you’re 6’2” or more, then choose “Long.”

This guideline will help you make sure you are at headed in the right direction when selecting suit jackets that will fit you the best!

*BONUS TIP* - As we mentioned before, stylists and designers cut their cloths slightly differently. While you can always use the "S", "R", and "L" cuts as a baseline, it's always better to try on your jackets to double check before just blindly assuming that one will always work!
